CASTLE BROMWICH NEWS WROTE
Town Battle On To Avoid Re-Election

Following the previous weeks dismal performance at Northfield, Coleshill Town showed plenty of determination in a hard fought, no quarter asked or given, game at Mile Oak the points were shared in a goaless draw. Coleshill fully deserved this draw as they battled throughout the 90 minutes and the positional changes made certainly paid dividends. With Allen, Holland and Moseley in the front line, Coleshill looked more capable than Rovers of producing composed, steady soccer and their defence, well marshalled by Capper and Casey, supported by the midfield trio, fought tirelessly on a heavy, muddy pitch. In a fairly even first half Moseley almost scored with a hard hit shot, but home keeper King made a smart reflex save. Moseley was again at the fore when he ran on to a through ball from Holland, but he was tackled out of a shooting position by Reardon. Mile Oak threatened danger via winger Smith and the game preceeded into a hectic second period with attacks ebbing and flowing. Allen twice shot inches wide in enterprising raids by Coleshill, but Rovers were denied a goal by Page who cleared well off his line.
