Coleshill Lacking Aggression
Coleshill's return to Midland Combination action in this pre-Christmas game was a disappointing one. It was a scrappy game with Coleshill lacking aggression and cohesion after their two week break. They started reasonably well with Whipps bringing a fine save from the Northfield keeper with a header from a Page free kick. Holland prompted some good moves on the right but the Coleshill passing lacked direction. Northfield took the lead in the 37th minute when a cross found Conte in space on the far post and he headed home. Coleshill were still struggling in the second half and Northfield wrapped up their victory in the 70th minute following a good run and cross from outside-left Smith.
